A Procell treatment at The Ink Bar Studio begins with preparing the treatment area. Your licensed provider will sanitize your skin using an isopropyl alcohol prep pad to ensure the area is thoroughly clean and that no foreign bacteria are introduced during the microchanneling process.

Once your skin is prepped, a thin layer of Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum is applied to hydrate and nourish the skin. Your provider will then begin “stamping” with the Procell microchanneling device, treating small sections at a time (about three fingers’ width in length).

The Procell device creates thousands of microchannels across the treatment area. It moves vertically along the skin, overlapping by approximately 50–75% with each pass to ensure comprehensive coverage. Your provider will look for a slight pinkness in the skin—similar to a mild sunburn—which indicates your immune system is responding to the micro-injuries and beginning the collagen renewal process.

If needed, the provider may go back over areas to stimulate the appropriate inflammation response. Gentle skin tension may also be applied to optimize the treatment and enhance the device’s effectiveness.

After all microchannels are created, your provider will apply Procell’s recombinant growth factor serum again, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the skin through the newly formed channels. This supports even greater collagen and elastin production.

To complete the experience, your treatment concludes with a specially formulated hydration mask infused with hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and essential nutrients to reduce recovery time and lock in hydration.
